Using knowledge of chemistry, mechanical engineering, and a great flair for napkin-level modeling, the ergosphere draws compelling pictures of ways to displace energy systems based on cheap oil and wasteful practice. <a href=\"http:\/\/ergosphere.blogspot.com\/2005_03_01_ergosphere_archive.html\">This piece on domestic cogeneration<\/a> is a great example.<br \/>\nIt will take capital to make this happen. Since I last looked into the market after getting jazzed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.amazon.com\/exec\/obidos\/tg\/detail\/-\/0316353000\/qid=1124121744\/sr=8-1\/ref=pd_bbs_1\/104-7210464-8413561?v=glance&#038;s=books&#038;n=507846\">Natural Capitalism<\/a> before September 11, there&#8217;s a lot more attention and money flowing into<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ventureeconomics.com\/vcj\/protected\/1122124806480.html\">venture investing<\/a> and more support in the <a ref=\"http:\/\/www.altenergystocks.com\/\">public market.<\/a><br \/>\nMuch cheerier than reading the survivalists over at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.peakoil.org\/\">Peak Oil<\/a>\/<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>After weekend time reading back issues of the Ergosphere, the fate of the world seems a bit cheerier.
